Beauty is Pain

This morning Missy and I took the girls to get their ears pierced. I was excited and a little nervous. Sadie was really excited! She had no idea what was coming, but really wanted some pretty earings like mommy. Jess had no idea what was going on. They cried pretty hard for a couple of minutes, but have been great since then. They keep going to look at them in the mirror. They did really good and look so darn cute!!!

Shhhhh...don't tell Justin. It's a surprise!!!!

I'mmmmm Baaaack!

I had such an awesome week last week! Justin had scout camp all week, so I packed up the girls and we went on a road trip. We headed to Orem to visit Justin's brother Jason, his wife Kattie and their adorbale little boy Cohen. And then we headed to my parent's.

While in Orem we did so many fun things. I went to my first rodeo EVER! It was one of the funnest nights ever! It was just Kattie and I. Jay stayed with the kids. We had a blast. We felt like rebels out there with no hubbys or kids. We laughed so hard and were totally checking out the coyboys. ahaha jk. ;) Muttin Bustin (sp?) is one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life. Bull riding is one of the scariest. I kep telling Kattie.."they are so brave" hahah! She just kept laughing at me. We ate scones smothered in honey butter and it was delisious!

We also went to the waterfall up Provo canyon and let the girls play with 100 of their closest friends in the shallow part. They had a blast and it felt good to get my feet wet, since it was so stinking hot!

Then we went to a Pioneer Day carnival and saw the fireworks that night. We ate lits of yummy food and had some of the best corn on the cob I have ever had.

Then after a fun couple of days with the other Earl's, the girls and I headed to my parent's house. We had a day and a half marathon of The of the funniest shows ever to exsist! I love it! I laugh so hard when I watch that show!

I have lots of pictures, but haven't been able to download them yet. So look out for those. But I have GOT to clean my house or my husband won't let me get Breaking Dawn....speaking of....

AHHHHHHHH! I am so excited for the fourth book to come out on Friday! I re-read all three books so I could get back in the I am in love with Edward zone. Yep it worked. hahaha. I can't wait.

I saw this on Theresa's blog and I thought it would be fun to try!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

4th of July Weekend

We had our 1st annual Barney Family Reunion and it was a TOTAL SUCCESS! We all had a blast! We stayed at the SUU Mountain Lodge in Cedar City (up the canyon) It was gorgeous and the weather was to die for. Just perfect! I had my whole family there. Chris and Patience decided last minute to drive down from San Fran! It was so great to have all the "sibs" there!

Here is a funny picture from the crafts part. Yah, Jess tried to eat the paint! I love her look in this shot.

Ahhh, that feels better! haha The past couple of days have not been the best to say the VERY LEAST! I just got back from the doctor with Sadie because myself and now the doctor believe she has a bladder infection. She had to get a cathader(sp?) put in because she won't go pee. For the past three days she will hold in her pee from about 5 in the evening until noon the next day. She will have to pee so bad that she can't stand up, and will just scoot on the ground. I feel so bad for her, but she says that it hurts to pee. When I think she is almost about to go, she will cry and say ow and then hold it until she no longer can. I have tried everything to get her to even just pee! From putting her in only panties, to candy, to stickers to even putting her in a warm shower. She still just holds it. Well, watching her get a cathader put in was hard! She was screaming bloody murder and I was fighting back the tears, but when she cried, "Mommy help me!" I lost it and just started bawling!! It is so hard to see your child go through something painful.

It really made me think of what my parents had to go through when my sister was diagnosed with brain cancer and went through a long process of treatment and chemo. She was diagnosed and passed away when she was only three years old. My mom shared with me the time when my sister had to get blood taken and the nurse could not get to the vain. They had to keep digging around and finally had to go to her foot. My mom had to leave the room because it was so hard for her to watch. I can't imagine having to watch one of my girls suffer for so long. Once my sister started having symptoms showing that something was wrong they told her that they were going to go to the doctor and that he would help her get better. She simply told them, "Nothing will help me". I got chills when my mom told me that today. She knew even at three years old that her time here would be short. Sadie will be three in December and it makes me so sad to even think of her going through something like that. She is Sade! She talks and is a person. I really respect my parents so much for being so strong during that hard time. I know that getting only a cathadar put in seems so little in comparison, but it's still hard to see your child suffer.

I had a nice talk with my parent's today about my sister's death. Not once did they say they didn't understand why she was taken or why this happened to them, but they shared how they were blessed. One blessing they shared with me was that they got a call from their bishop and he told them he didn't know why he was making this call, but told them they needed to get health insurance right away. Three days later my sister was diagnosed. It would have cost them over $800,000, but they were blessed by a prompting of their bishop. They of course are sad that she is gone, but feel so blessed to have had her for those three short years.

It's funny, because I started this post to complain, but now I am seeing how blessed I am that I am not having to endure something so hard as what my parent's did. That my girls are healthy. Yes, we have bladder infections, and colds every other week, but none of us have any serious illnesses. We have a house. Yes it is a little two bedroom condo and we are squished in there, but we have a place that we can call home. Yes, we only have one car and it has over one hundred thousand miles and broke down just yesterday, but it has been great to us.

SO yah, I am done complaining and am thanking Heavenly Father for all that we have. :)

Happy Fourth!
