Happy Birthday Sweet Jessie

I can't believe Jess is two already! She makes us laugh all the time and is such a little firecracker. She keeps us all on our toes and gives the best hugs and kisses. One thing that Jessie does is she will pull your arm hair. It's just a habbit of hers and while it makes me want to harm her sometimes, I love that it is something that makes her, her. I am so thankful for healthy babies and for my family.

Happy Birthday Birdie...

(EEWWWW! I am gross)

That seems so old! I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday! Time flies and I really want to cherish my girls before they start telling me that they hate me and all that fun teenager stuff! haha

Twilight Mania!

This is pretty late, but I had to post about our fun night a while back when a group of us friends went to TWILIGHT! The movie was great. Yes, cheesy at times, YES, Edward is so hot and YES, very low budget. But for what it was...I loved it. It was just fun seeing the characters come to life. Now that it made BANK, I hope they can make the next one way better...and fix the horrible make-up job on Carlise. Thanks ladies for such a fun night!! And especially Theresa for laughing with me at parts that weren't supposed to be funny! MIKE IS HOT! ;) lol

(I left the red eye in...I felt it made us look like vampires who just sucked on some humans. hahahahaha)

Oh and I saw it again a couple of nights later with my fam and it was SO much better. I could just go in a enjoy it and relax. I caught things that I didn't the first time and felt more of Bella and Edwards relationship. If you didn't care ofr it much the first time....go again!

Happy Anniversary to US!!! (part deuce)

I can't believe that we have been married for four years. It really feels like just yesterday that we got married.

I love Becky because...
-I make her laugh
-I make her a better person
-I am SUPER hot
-I am the best dad in the world
-I am very selfless
-I love me

I also love Becky because...
-She has limitless talents (singing & photography)(dancing?). There is a new one every year and luckily all the talents are expensive.
-She is very patient (mostly with me)
-She is always optimistic
-She is a great mother
-She is smoking hot and has beautiful LONG hair
-She is the reason I am a better person today
-Our combined DNA makes beautiful kids

I love you

It just took a little Patience!

The one thing I have learned today is to not push your kids into growing up too fast. A couple of months ago I was selfish and pushed and pushed Sadie to potty train. I was tired of changing two diapers and felt she was old enough and smart enough to do it. I had many friends who had successfully trained their kids who were Sadies age. I knew without a doubt she would be a piece of cake. Most of you may remember it didn't end very well. Sadie plain out wasn't ready. She would cry and hold her bladder for almost 24 hours. We thought she had a bladder infection so she had to get a catheter put in her, just for the doctor to tell us she was fine and just wasn't ready to potty train. So we stopped. We didn't talk potty for a while. Just recently we have been reading her her potty book again and just have been talking about it. She all on her own wanted to wear her panties again. I let her just for a couple of days without even asking her to sit on her kid potty. Then I started leaving it in the living room so it was accessible to her. She has been sitting on it all on her own, and even has been going BOTH all on her own. I have been so happy just letting her go at her own speed. It just shows me that they know when they are ready.

We are no experts, but I really am so thankful for a husband that is so good at raising kids. We are really against letting our girls "cry it out" at night. I know most of you think we are crazy, but we are so thankful we have done it this way. The girls love their bedtime now and are so excited when we read to them and sing songs every night. That is my favorite time of the day. They have their favorite books and songs we sing every single night. lol

I don't really know what this post is about, but I guess I am just so proud of both of them and love them so much!! They are the sweetest girls and have made me such a better person!!! Can't wait to have another one!!!!!!!! I AM BABY HUNGARY!! lol

I saw this on someone elses blog and loved it.

The below was given in an address to BYU students by Elder Neal A. Maxwellin 1978.

"Make no mistake about it, brothers and sisters, in the months and years ahead, events are likely to require each member to decide whether or not he will follow the First Presidency. Members will find it more difficult to halt longer between two opinions. President Marion G. Romney said, many years ago, that he had 'never hesitated to follow the counsel of the Authorities of the Church even though it crossed my social, professional or political life.'

"This is hard doctrine, but it is particularly vital doctrine in a society which is becoming more wicked. In short, brothers and sisters, not being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ includes not being ashamed of the prophets of Jesus Christ. . . . Your discipleship may see the time when such religious convictions are discounted. . . . This new irreligious imperialism seeks to disallow certain opinions simply because those opinions grow out of religious convictions.

"Resistance to abortion will be seen as primitive. Concern over the institution of the family will be viewed as untrendy and unenlightened.... Before the ultimate victory of the forces of righteousness, some skirmishes will be lost. Even in these, however, let us leave a record so that the choices are clear, letting others do as they will in the face of prophetic counsel. There will also be times, happily, when a minor defeat seems probable, but others will step forward, having been rallied to rightness by what we do. We will know the joy, on occasion, of having awakened a slumbering majority of the decent people of all races and creeds which was, till then, unconscious of itself. Jesus said that when the fig trees put forth their leaves, 'summer is nigh.' Thus warned that summer is upon us, let us not then complain of the heat."

--- Elder Neal A. Maxwell

I DID IT!

This past Saturday we were invited by some friends to hike the Subway at Zions National Park. It was the funnest, toughest, scariest, coldest thing I have ever done in my life. It's a 9 mile hike, but it's not like its a flat trail. You climb, you repel, you swim through the coldest water of your life.....craziness!!

For those of you who know me well know that I have a CRIPPLING fear of heights!!! I almost feel paralyzed when I am too high. There were a few spots that tested every cell in my body to just move the next step. Justin pretty much had to yell at me to step forward because we were so high and I couldn't move. I was crying my head off and would have stayed there the rest of my life if Justin wasn't there. lol After we did the last repel I almost cried again because I was proud of myself that I actually did it!

Repelling is fun, but it goes against everything you know. Naturally you want to lay flat and hug the rock you are going down and basically slide down on your stomach, but you can't. You have to sit out like you are in a chair. You have to lean back and tell yourself that it's okay, you won't fall. It's so hard mentally!

There are about 5 pools of water that is the coldest water I have ever been in. I have heard about water so cold that you feel like needles are stabbing you and you really can't breathe. That is how this water was. We had to basically swim in it and it was so cold our lungs feel like they close up and you honestly can't breath. It was pretty scary actually. Luckily the pools aren't too long and a few breast strokes and you are out, but there are so many...each one you dread more and more.
*Oh and I must say that we were the toughest or stupidest group out there...everyone else had wet suites but not our group....we stripped down to our undies to go through the water. We wanted to be able to get into dry clothes when we got out...so we sucked up our pride and stripped down....even Justin! LOL Don't expect any of those pictures! ha

All in all it was a total BLAST and I am so glad that I did it. It's kind of like child birth...when you are going through it you think its the worst thing in the world and you will never do it again, but after a day or two your memory fades and you think, "Aww it wasn't too bad, I could do it again." HA! I don't know if I could ever forget how cold that water was or how scared I was of those heights!! lol But, I would consider doing it again...ONLY if Kattie came because I know she would cry with me on the scary parts. LOL

Here are some pics from the day. I am not a nature photographer, but I did the best I could. After a while, I had no interest in taking pics...I was wasted!

*You can click on the picture to see the bigger version!

Thanks Graham for the best time and ofr inviting us!!!! Oh and thanks too to my mom and dad who watched the girls all day for us!! We LOVE ya!!!
