Oh What A Night.......

So much for a romantic dinner and a movie on the town last night! Here's how our crazy day went..... (WARNING: THIS MAY GET GRAPHIC!)

Heather brought Bentley over at her usual time of 10. She had warned me that Bentley's cousins have Strep and just to watch him and call if there were any problems....Okay, no worries. About 11:00 Jessie started acting really fussy and was just being a bad girl. I pick her up, and she rests her head on my shoulder, then sits up looks at me and barfs all over me. I hurry and call Heather and tell her Bentley is fine, but Jessie is sick. (Mind you I am still sitting in barf and Jessie is on the ground playing in her barf) OOOkay, moving on....

I undress Jess and Sadie and throw them in the bath. I start cleaning up the throw up when Heather comes (Don't worry, I am still in barf) I couldn't shower because I had to wait for Heather to get there and I didn't want to just leave the door unlocked...so she get's there takes Bentley and I finish cleaning the girls and the barf on the ground...THEN I shower. Why, I don't know?!?! I got thrown up two more times by the end of all this!

So all day Jess couldn't keep ANYTHING down. I tried giving her water and that was up about 20 seconds later. So finally when Justin got home he bought some Pedialite and some more medicine for her. BUT, don't worry he didn't get Pedialite, he got the nasty, CHEAP generic kind. She wouldn't drink a drip. Don't worry Justin felt bad later for getting the generic kind. He said, that is why I spend the money for the real thing. Anyways finally Jessie was worn out by barfing that she eventually just fell asleep. It was a nice rest from the day, but we knew the fun was still yet to come...much, much later that night.

AND OH DID IT COME! First off, before Justin and I went to bed I told him I would sleep out in the living room with Jess just to keep an eye on her and Sadie could sleep in our bed with him. Why, you ask yourself isn't Sadie sleeping in her bed in her room? Oh because the couch is her bed. Sadie and Jess were in the same room together for a while, but they kept waking each other up and we were going crazy trying to put two kids back to sleep every night.sooo. that's why.

Well when Jess fell asleep earlier in the night we put her on our bed until we went to bed. SO when we were getting ready for bed we went to move Jessie to the living room and she had barfed all over our bed. So long, long story short...we ALL ended up in the living room. I really wish I had gotten a picture of that.

In the middle of the night Jess woke up (just as we thought) ate, barfed and was up tp play! Justin had to make a 2 in the morning run to the store for the real pedialite and then gave Jess a blessing.

I am exhausted and I don't even know how Justin is functioning at work today. Hopefully today will be better and she will feel better.

Maybe next year we can have a better anniversary. :) Still you just have to laugh. What an experiance!

...I'm so sorry...I can't stop laughing...I have so been in your shoes several times! Now anytime that Cadence throws up I just put down plastic on her bed and one of many spare blankets we keep just for the barf days. Cause if they barf once you just know you are going to be up all night covered in barf. Towels work too and are easier to clean up. lol. And who said that you have to celebrate ON your anniversary? I think we have celebrated On the actual day once. It still counts if it is later! lol. I really hope that she feels better today! Two days of that would be no fun for you or her! Let me know if I can do anything for you.

My favorite word in the world is "basically." Don't ask me why, it just is. And it's situations like this that bring out the best meaning of the word. It's what you say when you have nothing else to say. So, for the record... BASICALLY!. LOL

I hope everyone gets better and that your washer and dryer are in working order. :o)
