New Year....New Blog

Hi everyone! I decided to change up the blog a bit...I needed a change. I know it's not 2008 for a couple more days, but today I have time and this next week is going to be CRAZY!!! I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope that you all accomplish anything and everything that you want! I hope that your families are healthy and happy! I have such a great feeling about this next year! I am so excited to start school and continue with my photography! I am so thankful for all the support and encouragement that all of you have given me! Thank you! I have been reflecting a lot and thinking about my life. This is so cheesy, but blogging has been such a blessing in my life! I have made new friends, and have gotten closer to old ones. It has helped me SO much with my business and it's just fun keeping in touch with all of you! :)

My family was so blessed in 2007. In our family there has been a marriage, a pregnancy, and a death. It's funny how life is such a cycle and there are such good times yet in the same year we can endure some of the hardest things of our lives. I am so thankful for the Gospel in my life! Who knows what this next year will bring, but I know that if I have the right attitude I can get through anything. My friend Theresa just posted about this and I think everyone should read it! Thanks Theresa for the great reminder!

Anyways....hope everyone has a fun New Year's Eve and a great year!!!! It will be a blast reading about all the fun things you all do this year! Thanks for letting me be apart of it!

ETA- My goal is each month to change the side pictures in my header of the girls. That way I will make myslef not be too busy to take fun pics of the girls, so keep a look out for new pics in the header each month :)....and also Christmas pictures to come soon. :)

xoxo-

Introducing Ashley Blake

My little sister Ashley got married this weekend! Yay! It was a long day with it's ups and ONE BIG DOWN! Let me explain....you know it's really hard to be anywhere on time with two little kids, a husband and your self to get ready, but you think you would be able to get it together to make it on time to your sisters wedding...NOPE! Not me :/ After Justin and I dropped the girls off to his parents, who were staying his aunts condo 5 minutes form my parents home, we JETTED to the temple..only to be told that we were too late and we could not get in. Yeah, I started BAWLING! They said I am sorry and the best they could do was let me get dressed and I could wait for her in one of the rooms. So I got into the dressing room and lost it. I was crying SO hard. I felt horrible! So I got into the room and one lady had mercy on me and went to the door, poked her head in and motioned for me to hurry up and go in the room. I made it JUST in time. The second my butt hit the seat I cried even harder. I couldn't believe I got in! It was a beautiful ceremony and I am so thankful I got to see it!!! I am sure that for the pictures outside my face was a mess and swolen!

The rest of the day was full of running errands and getting stuff ready for the reception. Thet did hold a beautiful luncheon where I got told I had to give a speech...about two minutes before. grrr. :)

The reception was beautiful and we had a great time! I didn't get to take any pictures because I was so busy being in the line or chasing my kids around. Below are a couple, but most were taken by other people and I just played with them a bit in photoshop. Hopefully when my sister gets her pics back from her photographer she will let me post some. Here are the few we got.

LOVE YOU ASH AND CHASE!

Birthday Fun

First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY TO MY LITTLE JESSIE!!!!! I can't believe that she is 1!!! She is so funny! She started out as my little sweet tender heart, and now is such a SPITFIRE!!!! She is a daddy's girl through and through!! As soon as Justin walks through the door when he get's home from work, she wants nothing to do with me! She laughs all the time and loves her big sissy! Happy birthday Jessie-kins!!!

Here are some pics of our TRI-Birthday Party! We invited some of our dearest friends. We went to dinner at one of my favorite places to eat...BJ's and then went to Nette and Greg's house for Elmo cake and some yummy ice cream! (thanks Missy for making the cutest cake ever)

Below are some pics from the party. Thanks Kim for being the photographer! :)

Me, Sadie and Brooklynn blowing out our candles! HAHA!!! Thanks Brooklynn! lol

Here is one where were all three "attempting" to blow out the candles

The Elmo cake Missy made! It was sooooo cute.

That must be a pretty amazing piece of cake! lol

MMMMMMMMMMM...Sade chowing down on her cake. I don't even think Jess had any. I think she was too concerened in playing with all the little people.

Mary MADE these adorable skirts for the girls! Sadie LOVES hers! Everyday she cries to me, "Dwess, dwess" She cried her eyes out that night when I had to take it off to put on her jammies! So cute Mary! You are so talented!

Having fun in all the mess!

Now I know why Jess didn't eat any cake.....she was saving her appetite for the wrapping paper! HAHA.

Anyways, that was our fun tri-birthday night!

Happy Birthday to Sadie.........and me

Just wanted to take a second and wish my favorite first born a Happy Birthday!!!! Two years ago today I was in labor for 28 hours, a lot of pain and scared to death! But at 4:18 in the afternoon little 6lbs. 8oz. Sadie Lynn was brought into Justin and my life. From the moment I saw her I was so excited and so in love! It was the best because we were in the room at Summerlin that is right next to the waiting room. Both sides of our family was piled in the waiting room and could hear everything! They heard me push and they heard Sadie cry. They all came in crying and so happy to meet their grandaughter, and niece! Okay so it just happened to be my birthday too. After it was all over it was the best birthday I ever had and will ever have! It has been the most amazing two years and Sadie and her sister have touched mine and Justin's life more than we could ever tell you!

Sadie is so smart and so sweet. If she ever sees that I am sad or mad she comes right over to me, strokes my hair and says, Okay momma? Okay?. It is the sweetest thing ever.

(Below: the family listening as Sadie was born) SO FUN!

I will post pics of the family party in a couple of days. It's tomorrow and will be a blast!

Love ya Sade and HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

DON'T FORGET!...........

What the end of this month is truly about. With my favorite holiday past it is now onto my favorite month of the entire year. It is my favorite month for many reasons. 1. My birthday is on the 10th. WOOOHOOO! Okay so my birthday and Sades and then Jessie's is on the 14th, so nobody really cares about mine anymore ;P Then there is the Christmas lights and decorations. I love going into homes that are so beautiful with their Christmas crafts and lights and yummy smelling foods. I just love it all. I love the memories from childhood of waking up at 2 in the morning with my siblings and trying to wake up and my parents and being told to not come back in till 6am. So my siblings and I would stare at the presents and organize them into our own seperate piles. And then complaining if someones pile was bigger than mine. And always the random fruit in our stocking that would always end up back in the bottom drawer of the fridge. Good times!

But also with this month comes many stresses especially as a parent and a wife. I know I am not the only one to stress about giving my family everything they want and or need to make each Christmas memorable. But I have thought long and hard about this and have really realized that I don't want to teach my kids that the most important thing about Christmas time is stressing about the sales and trying to please them with gifts. I want to teach them that this is the time for giving and most importantly teaching them that this was when our Savior was born! Don't let the commercialism of Christmas that the world has put into our minds rule our Christmas season.

I am always so saddened and shocked to hear when people go into serious debt because they want amazing Christmas' for their family. My cousin who is CSI said their are so many deaths this time of year because of depression from stresses and not met expecations of the holidays.

Let's just all remember what the true meaning of this holiday is. Christ was born! I challenge myself and those who are reading this to instead of worrying about getting gifts for every relative in your family look for those who have nothing. Look for opportunities to serve those in need. They are everywhere! We just have to look!

LOVE YOU ALL!

Happy December!

A Great Weekend

This Thanksgiving weekend was great! On Thanksgiving day we drove up to my parents home in Ivan's Utah (10 mintutes from St. George). We planned to stay the night, but the girl's had bad colds. That day was so great! The food was amazing, as usual (MOM YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!) My grandma and grandpa Barney and my dad's sister Annie came up. All my siblings except for Chris and Patience were there. They were actually staying at my house visiting her brothers. The rest of the weekend was nice visiting with Justin's realtives that were in town. We ate way too much food and stayed up way too late. But it was a great weekend and so nice to have Justin home with us!

Here are some pics of the beautiful table and yummy food!

Thursday night we stopped by the temple on the way out. The Christmas lights were supposed to be turned on, but the newspaper printed the wrong night. It was the next night. It was still so beautiful! We got some fun pics there of the fam.

Ashley's Bridals

This last Saturday we threw a bridal shower for my sister, which was so fun! (Thanks again Tara for the help!) Then right after we drove to Lake Las Vegas with my mom and Ashley's friend Damareese (Sp? We just call her Dam) Anyways...we had a blast taking pictures for who nows how long. I think the people at Lake Las Vegas were getting annoyed with us because we were there so long, but it is such a perfect place to take bridals!!! So here are a few. I am not even half way done editing, but I thought I'd throw some on here. I will have the rest on my photo blog when I'm all done.

Oh and FYI, we are all done puking here at the Earl house....now we are onto colds. :)

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT THANKSGIVING!!!!

Oh What A Night.......

So much for a romantic dinner and a movie on the town last night! Here's how our crazy day went..... (WARNING: THIS MAY GET GRAPHIC!)

Heather brought Bentley over at her usual time of 10. She had warned me that Bentley's cousins have Strep and just to watch him and call if there were any problems....Okay, no worries. About 11:00 Jessie started acting really fussy and was just being a bad girl. I pick her up, and she rests her head on my shoulder, then sits up looks at me and barfs all over me. I hurry and call Heather and tell her Bentley is fine, but Jessie is sick. (Mind you I am still sitting in barf and Jessie is on the ground playing in her barf) OOOkay, moving on....

I undress Jess and Sadie and throw them in the bath. I start cleaning up the throw up when Heather comes (Don't worry, I am still in barf) I couldn't shower because I had to wait for Heather to get there and I didn't want to just leave the door unlocked...so she get's there takes Bentley and I finish cleaning the girls and the barf on the ground...THEN I shower. Why, I don't know?!?! I got thrown up two more times by the end of all this!

So all day Jess couldn't keep ANYTHING down. I tried giving her water and that was up about 20 seconds later. So finally when Justin got home he bought some Pedialite and some more medicine for her. BUT, don't worry he didn't get Pedialite, he got the nasty, CHEAP generic kind. She wouldn't drink a drip. Don't worry Justin felt bad later for getting the generic kind. He said, that is why I spend the money for the real thing. Anyways finally Jessie was worn out by barfing that she eventually just fell asleep. It was a nice rest from the day, but we knew the fun was still yet to come...much, much later that night.

AND OH DID IT COME! First off, before Justin and I went to bed I told him I would sleep out in the living room with Jess just to keep an eye on her and Sadie could sleep in our bed with him. Why, you ask yourself isn't Sadie sleeping in her bed in her room? Oh because the couch is her bed. Sadie and Jess were in the same room together for a while, but they kept waking each other up and we were going crazy trying to put two kids back to sleep every night.sooo. that's why.

Well when Jess fell asleep earlier in the night we put her on our bed until we went to bed. SO when we were getting ready for bed we went to move Jessie to the living room and she had barfed all over our bed. So long, long story short...we ALL ended up in the living room. I really wish I had gotten a picture of that.

In the middle of the night Jess woke up (just as we thought) ate, barfed and was up tp play! Justin had to make a 2 in the morning run to the store for the real pedialite and then gave Jess a blessing.

I am exhausted and I don't even know how Justin is functioning at work today. Hopefully today will be better and she will feel better.

Maybe next year we can have a better anniversary. :) Still you just have to laugh. What an experiance!

It's Been 3 Whole Years!!!!

Today is mine and Justin's THREE year anniversary! I can't believe how fast it has gone by! It has been the best three years of my life! Justin really is so perfect for me! He loves me unconditionaly and despite my stubborness. He makes me laugh everyday! Here are some fun things about Justin and our marriage.....

1. Justin is the best dad! His kids are so important to him. The day Sadie was born was the first time I had ever seen him cry. Ever since he has had kids he is much more sensitive!

2. Justin is a cleaner!!! But is so quick to forgive me when I leave stuff lying around the house.

3. Justin loves Pearl Jam!!! He has all of their cd's and even went on like a three city tour with Ryan Henderson.

4. Justin will always say what is on his mind. I am trying to teach him to use his filter. LOL

5. Justin cracks me up! When he is in a silly mood, I can't stop laughing. But we always argue who is the funnier one! But we all know it's me! :p

6. Sometimes when Justin and I argue we will start to sing our words like we are in a musical. We always end up laughing and the fight is over.

7. Justin can fall asleep at the drop of a hat. We can be having a conversation in bed and I will roll over and he will be passed out! And he always sleeps on road trips. He can't stay awake!

8. Justin is a very loyal friend to have. He will always stick up for his friends and family!

9. Justin is the most supportive person in my life! No matter what I am trying to accomplish, he is not only supporting me, but pushing me to get it done!

10. Justin and I are very different when it comes to shopping habits. Justin would rather get two items from Banana that are really expensive, but last longer....and I would rather get a bunch of crap from Forever 21 that is cheap!

11. Justin served his mission in Boise, Idaho...."I'M GOING TO BOISE!" He loved it and said that their are a lot of people who are not members there.

12. Justin loves the Lord and the gospel and is such a blessing to have in our home. He is a faithful preisthood holder and I can always count on him for anything I need.

Thanks Justin for being so great and the perfect husband and dad for me and our kids!

We LOVE you! Happy Anniversary!

23 Exciting and Amazing Things About Me........

Okay so not so much exciting and really not that amazing, but I was tagged by my friend Steph....so here goes!

1. I love to laugh. I will laugh at pretty much anything. And I love being around people that make me laugh.

2. I am not offended easily at all, but I am very sensitive.

3. I love all things dairy! I grew up with a glass of milk at every meal. I have cut down a lot, but I still love it all...milk, cheese, sour cream...ALL OF IT!

4. Growing up I never had cake for my birthdays...ALWAYS Cheesecake. I can't get enough. And my favorite cheescake is the kind that my mom makes. It makes my throat itch when it goes down. I love that.

5. Both of my girls names were found in celebrity magazines. I read Sadie's name in People (she is Jude Law's ex-wife) and Justin found Jessie's name in USWeekly (Jessie Metcalf)

6. Celebrity magazines are my guilty pleasure. Justin hates when I buy them, so I love visiting my mom because she has all of them! I know I shouldn't buy into all of that stuff, but I can't get enough!

7. I did a showcase for a major music business manager this summer for singing.

8. I auditioned for American Idol and didn't even get past the first round. It was the year Fantasia won. Justin doesn't even know. LOL!

9. Justin is seven years older than me.

10. I have a hard time saying no. I am getting way better, but I am very much a people pleaser! I once even bought the book, "How to say NO, when you want to say Yes" HAHA

11. When I was younger I was very outgoing and had to be in the spotlight. I am much more reserved and a lot more shy now.

12. I love to read. It makes me feel smart. lol

13. It doesn't matter if I am watching the best movie ever made. If we start it after 8pm, I am asleep by the opening credits! It's been that way my whole life. This always got me in trouble at sleep overs as a kid.

14. I have a lot of pet peeves that people do while driving, but am the first to make excuses when I do them.

15. I used to want to be a famous singer (most of my life), now I want nothing less.

16. I love making new friends.

17. When I was married for about a year, I thought I wanted to be a chef. HA! I do like to cook, but am not great at it!

18. I stink at crafty things. I am really no good. I don't have the patience and when I do they still never look that good.

19. When I procrastinate I do things better. It is a bad habbit of mine, but I always do better and can make quicker descisons when I wait till the last minute.

20. I love to travel and I love New York. I am a city girl. BUT as I have gotten older I have really learned to appreciate the beauty and tranquility of small towns. I love them too now!

21. I am HORRIBLE at math. No believe me worse than you! I still count things on my hand. I always got horrible grades in math and I just don't get it!

22. My appendix burst in November of 2000. I woke up feeling a knot in my stomach, went to school feeling sick. By the time I got home and was home for an hour, I threw up over 50 times. My mom took me to the hospital. They discovered it was my appendix and I still had to wait until 2am to get into surgery. Man our healthcare stinks.

23. I have found my new love. Photography! I have only been doing it since August, but I have found something that brings so much joy to me as Becky. I have really learned that as a mom, wife, cook, house cleaner...etc. we really need to find things for just us. Find something that keeps you, you! You will be a better mom and wife if you do. It's okay to have something that you do for you! And that for me is photography. I can't wait to learn more! I start school next semester. YAH!!!

24. I am only 23, but since my birthday is next month...it's a bonus! I love my family more than anything. My husband is the most perfect person for me and we have learned and grown so much from eachother. My kids have made me learn what true unconditional love truly is. I have discovered a love that I never knew I had. I love my parents and brothers and sisters so much and I love my in-laws. They are perfect for me!

Okay, so the rules are you write as many things as you are old. I am tagging anybody who hasn't updated their blogs in a week. No excuses for not having anything to blog about...HERE IT IS!

Pay It Forward

I know that as a mom with a church calling, a family, etc. I often overlook opportunities to serve others. So, I was really grateful for this fun idea I saw on another friend's blog. One of my good friends is doing this on her blog and I signed up to do it with her. It's sounds like fun & I love making handmade things.(*Edited by Becky: I'm not so good at handmade things, but I will give it a go! I promise it will be worth it!) :) So if you're interested here's how it works:

I will send a handmade gift to the first three (3) people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. You may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog. (So, you must have a blog to participate.) I can't wait to see who I will be giving to. To join, just cut and paste this on your blog and comment away. So get posting!!

The Craziness Has Now Officially Begun!

Jessie has started walking! No crawling..all walk! Yikes! Two kids running around my house? My life is just gonna be crazy from here on out. Below are some pictures of Jess showing off her skills! :)

I was playing with the looks on these with Photoshop.

(Above: Vintage look)

(above: Black and Vanilla)

(Above: An awesome chocolate action I got)

I have to throw one of little Sadie in here!

(Above: An aged photo look)

Before we went in I found Jess chowing down on a rock and some dirt. Yuk! But I loved how the light was hitting her face through the bushes! :)

A Heffalump and a big ol' ???????

Last night we had our ward's trunk or treat. They went ALL OUT. They served food, had booths and haunted houses in the church, a costume parade and tons of fun! Jessie was a Heffalump (when she would keep her whole costume on) (Thanks Nicole for letting us borrow the costume) and Sadie, well, I don't know what she ended up as. Before we left she was Wonder Woman. Sadie loves her church dresses. Every Sunday it is a war to get her out of them. Throughout the week if she sees her dresses, she wants to wear them. So we really have to keep them out of sight. Well, she found one and was crying trying to put on her "Dwess". So I finally said Whatever, she doesn't even know what is going on tonight, so who cares. So I put it on her. Then she wanted to wear her red coat. Then I tried to put on her church shoes...oh no, she wanted her tennie shoes. WHATEVER kid! :) SO Little Red Ridding Hood? Maybe? Justin said she is a church girl. I don't know. Hopefully next year she can tell me what she wants to be.

Justin and I were Roman Emporers (Thanks Mary for the costumes) I didn't get any pics of that...sorry ;)

(Above: Sadie in her who knows what costume)

(Above: Jessie in her half Heffalump costume. She kept ripping the head part off)

(Above: The full costume...kind of. The head is coming off and there were actually hand and foot covers, that she would not keep on)

(Above: These are a couple babies in the ward. They of course did not want to sit there, but this picture cracks me up. Of course Jess is all tangled in the web and trying to race off. The baby in the middle looks really annoyed. And the baby on the left has no clue what is going on...so funny)

All in all it was fun, but I can't wait till the girls can actually know what is going on. But we did get a lot of candy...yeah, that's all I need :)
